Literature: Theory and Practice is a course that provides exposure to certain movements that coccured in the field of literature; namely Slave arratives, 20th century African American Literature and Modernist American Literature. In addition to grasping the theoretical aspects of the above mentioned literatures, the course also allows students practise some discursive and textual analyses of different literary texts chosen as samples in accordance with the literary periods tackled.
